Your wedding at Tamarind

Tamarind Beach Hotel, Grand Bay, Canouan, offers the ideal destination for your wedding nestled in an idyllic spot surrounded by manicured gardens and turquoise blue water of the Caribbean. We will arrange a day for you to take a short trip to the beautiful island of St. Vincent to meet with the officiating Minister and to obtain your marriage license. A two night minimum stay prior to obtaining the marriage license is required. A chaperon will be provided for your day in St. Vincent to assist you with all legal details for your special day. After an escorted walk around the hotel you can select your ideal location for the ceremony.

Requirements and details for marriage

Documents required
• Valid Passports
• Decree absolute - if one or both parties are divorced
• Death certificate if widowed

Procedures
• Couples must be in the state of St. Vincent and the Grenadines for 24 hours (the arrival day is not included) before applying for a marriage license.
• Upon arrival each guest is presented with an immigration form. The form is needed as a proof of residency when applying for the Marriage License in St. Vincent.
• The license is obtained through the Ministry of Justice in Kingstown, St. Vincent. The office is open Mondays through Fridays and closed weekends and public holiday.
• Bride and Groom must apply in person and 2 (two) witnesses must be present at the marriage ceremony.
• Application forms are available in advance at the Tamarind Beach Hotel.
• An official Marriage Officer, Priest or Minister registered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines must perform the marriage ceremony.
